STARZ- The Band
That Influenced a Generation...
The Original East Coast Bad Boys, STARZ broke on to the Rock scene
in the late 1970s with a unique melding of Pop Melodies and Heavy
Metal Guitars. Songs like Cherry Baby and Fallen Angel brought them
chart success and critical acclaim but it wouldn't be until the
1980s that this band's true influence on the rock world would be
felt and legendary status attained. Artists like Nikki Sixx of
Motley Crue, Rikki Rockett of Poison and Lars Ulrich of Metallica
all sight STARZ as their earliest influence... One particular New
Jersey youth even went so far as to call STARZ his all time favorite
band... That youth would go on to front a band that sported his
name, Bon Jovi.
ANGEL- '70's Glam-Metal Pioneers
The True Pioneers for the generation of Glam Rockers to follow,
Angel brought to the airwaves the sound of the '80's in the 1970's.
Bands like Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot owe a debt of gratitude to
Angel for breaking down the barricades and opening the doors to that
which was to define Rock in the 1980's. Still rockin' and deserved
of so much more praise, Angel is, most of all, one of rocks true
Unsung Heroes.
STORIES(Featuring
Ian Lloyd) - More Than A One Hit Wonder
The name Stories immediately brings to mind the worldwide #1
smash from 1973 "Brother Louie". Sadly forgotten, however, is a
string of songs from classic albums out of the early 1970s that will
remind you just how great this band truly was and is. And then there
is the voice of Ian Lloyd that can only be called one of rock's
legendary treasures. Their 30+ year absense from California is about
to be ended and it's about time...
And
as if that's not enough... We've got two bonuses!!
AMERICAN HEARTBREAK
San Francisco rockers American Heartbreak will be
bringing their modern rock sound to the south bay. Their combination
of energy and enthusiasm have propelled them for over a decade. Rock
and Roll Remembers isn't just about classic rock it's about rock and
roll from all generations combining their talents to help those in
need.

KFOX LAST BAND STANDING CHAMPIONS
THE MEGATONES
As if winning the annual KFOX Last Band Standing competition doesn't
say it all, The Megatones are one of the Bay Areas most entertaining
groups. With their unique mixture of classic rock treasures they
always have time to help a good cause and we're quite proud to have
them here as part of our show.
And being that this is a
benefit for Rock and Roll, there is guaranteed to be some surprise
special guests that you won't want to miss...
